excessive heat wave!!!

Arghhh!!! *is sweating while typing* I've cranked the a/c up but the house is not getting cool!  The heat index is up to 105 degrees and the temp is 91. Wish it would rain, snow or do something to cool things off! I might just take a cold bath to cool off. I would go jump in the pond behind our house, but its got algae in it along with snakes and frogs. So that option is out! I'm no way swimming with poisonous snakes!
Is it this hot in your area?
