Annoying pop up internet block ad

 I was really annoyed at the pop up ads that want to block your access to the internet on your own computer. This came up while I was checking yahoo email. What’s a really good program to detect them? Because twice in one day is really frustrating. 

Updated mom's computer. I was really glad that Microsoft added ransomeware protection to the windows defender. That's what happened to me earlier.
