Traitorous Thoughts pt 1
Potions Master Severus Snape had just gotten settled in his chair. He reclined back with a firewhiskey in one hand and the latest Potions book in the other hand.
Hermione Granger and Aleysia Prince left the potions lab as they locked up for the night. "Wait here, Hermione. I’m going to ask Severus if he wants to join us." Aleysia spoke to her as they noticed he was not paying attention to them.
"Sure. No Problem!" Hermione exclaimed winking at her. She knew that Aleysia liked Severus a lot. And she also knew that he was well aware about her feelings for him, having overheard a conversation between them one certain evening.
"Severus, would you like to join us for dinner?" Aleysia asked approaching him cautiously.
"Actually I was thinking of staying in tonight, Aleysia. But maybe another time?" Severus asked noticing how disappointed she looked.
"Of course. Come on Hermione. I guess Harry and Ron will keep us company." Aleysia spoke as they left Severus’ quarters.
Severus ground his teeth as it irritated him to no end that she would prefer their company. The floo activated in his study. He scowled wondering who decided to pick a time to show up when he was in such a bad mood.
"Hope I’m not intruding, Severus. I need your help on deciding what my best interests are." Lucius drawled as he graciously sat down across from Severus.
Severus sighed knowing that he couldn’t get rid of Lucius. And his quiet time had been interrupted. "Enlighten me, Lucius."
Lucius leaned forward speaking quietly. "Is this room safe?"
Severus nodded yes. He was no fool there. Living a life as a double agent taught him many things.
"I’m interested in defecting. And secondly, I want to woo Miss Granger." Lucius drawled amused at Severus’ expression.
"You want to court Miss Granger?" Severus exclaimed wondering what his old friend was up to.
"The past year…I’ve been lonely. And I don’t see you going out with anyone!" he exclaimed with an irritated look on his face.
"Well Aleysia and I are dating somewhat…" Severus’ voice trailed off slightly noticing Lucius’ reaction.
"As in Aleysia Prince?" Lucius questioned Severus curiously.
Severus smiled as he leaned back in his chair and replied. "Why yes Lucius."
